Dodgems or Bumper Cars?

Whilst out at South Bank the other day with some friends, we went on some dodgems, which was great. Always great fun.

When we came off, we had a short discussion about whether people actually try to dodge each other or just try to cause as many collisions as possible, and whether this relates to whether you call them 'dodgems' or 'bumper cars'. Interesting, because it vaguely relates to the linguistic issue of whether language influences thought or vice versa...

Personally, I think you need to do a bit of both. You have to drive around, dodging people for a few laps to get momentum, and then bump into someone, for maximum impact.
