Hi Frankie,

I read your project update with interest. We operate a mobile tagging service called Vizitag. An idea occured to me that we could add a 2D barcode to the Blue Plaques. When a visitor snapped the tag with their mobile phone, they would instantly receive links from your portal regarding the famous person. Let me know if this is of interest.

Cheers, Kevin

Hi Bridget - thanks for your comment.

Interesting idea about getting people to add other connections. One thing we're planning on doing is linking to Wikipedia pages, where people can find out more about the person. I think generally the best approach with other connections would be to link out to related resources - otherwise we might end up becoming a repository of all kinds of information!

Really glad to see this project progress with Flickr API integration. A thought came to me, seeing your example of William Strang. Can you allow users to add knowledge to each plaque page, e.g. other locations you can visit related to Strang. I was thinking of the Strang Print Rooms at UCL and Strang prints in the British Museum etc etc? It helps people make connections, and make their own trails.
