...And Hello To Kentish Town

Well, I've been living in Kentish Town for a few weeks now, so I thought I'd record a few first impressions...

The biggest impact has been simply living nearer to Central London - it's a quick bus ride into uni or a short walk into Camden or Chalk Farm. There's probably lots of other bus routes which I haven't discovered yet too. And, of course, Kentish Town actually has a tube stop...

Shops-wise, there's a good few little shops around, selling milk and groceries and stuff. There's also a Co-Op which has just opened, and a small Somerfields and Iceland (neither particularly good). For fruit and vegetables, there's a few market stalls around, which seem to be both cheaper and fresher than the shops.

I was suprised to find a decent chippy round the corner - the owner claimed to have been there over 20 years, and to specialise in fish. It's all cooked fresh and they have a good selection. Makes a change from all the fried chicken places in Hackney...
