Concert In UCL Quad

On Wednesday evening, UCL held its annual ‘Concert In The Quad’, in which bands, singers, choirs and jugglers all perform from the UCL portico to an audience in the Quad. Last year, the event was a wash-out due to rain, but this year there was a sizeable crowd. They had a really good PA rigged up, which allowed you to hear individually plucked guitar strings (of Rare FM DJ and singer-songwriter Sean Clothier) from the back of the quad. It was well lit-up too, with the Stage Crew Society apparently having helped out.

There was also a marquee selling mulled wine and mince pies (money raised going to UNICEF). The whole event seemed quite cheerful and festive, and I was suprised at how good a venue the Quad makes for music performances.
