Grumpy Old (Wo)Men

Last Christmas, I reported that the TV programme ‘Grumpy Old Men’ (Christmas specials) was one of the best things on. A good bit of grumpiness to counter the faux-cheerfulness of Christmas was well received. A week ago, I commented on the start of a new multi-author ‘Grumpy Old People’ blog, which my dad has now joined.

Well, this Christmas sees not only the repeat of the programmes from last year, but the grumpies blog now notes the introduction of Grumpy Old Women show for this year. Contributors include ‘Janet St-Porter, Arabella Weir, Dillie Keane, Bonnie Greer, Germaine Greer, Sheila Hancock and Jenny Eclair’. I remember having a discussion with someone last year about whether the programme would work with women, and I can’t remember what we decided. Now, atleast, we’ll be able to wait and see…
