43 Things Introduces 'Cheers'

A bizarre new feature has been introduced to 43 things: cheers.

Described as 'a simple way of supporting a person and their goal', you're limited to a set number of cheers per day (today it seems to be 5), which you can 'give' to goals you like. The cheers themselves don't reall seem to do anything - I don't see what the advantage of giving or receiving them is...

I suspect that 43 things have some plan which will involve generating 'most cheered' statistics or something. Anyhow, cheer me!
