BBC Three to show US version of 'The Office'

The BBC Comedy blog has reported that BBC Three has bought the UK rights to the US remake of The Office. No transmission date has yet been scheduled, but I’m sure it will generate a decent audience of people curious to see what the Americans have done with it. No doubt it won’t be as good, but the fact that everyone knows the original version so intimately (with the DVD having sold in huge volumes and tv series having been repeated fairly frequently), perhaps there will be an extra layer of comedy from the fact that we’ll be able to spot the differences…
