Tussauds Group sold to Dubai firm

Tussauds Group, the company which owns the three biggest UK theme parks and Madame Tussauds worldwide, has been sold off by Charterhouse to a company in Dubai for  800 million, the BBC reports.

According to their press release, the management will stay in place and the Tussauds Chief-Exec commented that they will be able to "accelerate growth plans, explore new opportunities and create even more exciting experiences for our 14 million guests".

This being a mostly back-end deal, I guess there won't be many huge changes to the way that the theme parks operate, except for perhaps meaning even mmore investment. In an interview with Reuters, the CEO hints at the company buying ("consolidating") further theme parks within Europe.
