Student Radio Conference 2005

Well, I could only attend the first two days of the Student Radio Association conference this year, but it was still worthwhile. It was great to be able to take a load of Rare FM DJs along with me, and I hope they're getting something out of it too.

The best presentation I saw was 'platform opportunities for student radio', in which Matt Deegan (GWR group) did a fairly comprehensive roundup of the various possible new radio platforms (including podcasting and mobile phone stuff).

In the AGM (which dragged on a bit, as they always do), I was elected as Student Radio Association Chair for this coming year. I'm really pleased to be able to work with the SRA and to be able to continue to push student radio forwards. I look forward to what will hopefully be a great year.

Anyhow, a quick sleep, and then I'd best be off to Los Angelas for a week. More on the SRA Conference and LA when I get back.
