Uni work finished at last

I haven’t written much over the past few weeks (apart from a radio event writeup) because I’ve been frantically working on the four remaining pieces of coursework for my final year of Uni. Well, on Tuesday, at ten minutes before the deadline, I finally handed them in.

Of the four different pieces of coursework, one was on whether there are ‘metaphysical neccessary and sufficient conditions’ for concepts (without our knowing them), one was on types of pronouns (strong, weak and clitics), one was on the usefulness of the web for history, and one was on psycholinguistics.

I had to do a lot of reading and understanding quickly, and then write up the essays pretty speedily too. Some of the essays I was really pleased with. One was reasonable, and one was pretty token, as I didn’t really know what to focus on. Nevertheless, I’m pleased overall, and relieved that it’s all finally over.

Not having exams, finishing all my coursework means that I’m now finished with Uni altogether. It’s a strange feeling. The last couple of days I haven’t really done much other than laze around. It’s all a bit of an anticlimax, and it was strange not being together with my course mates for the final bit (we all handed it in at different times). We have, though, arranged to all go to the pub next week, which will be nice.

Although I’m officially still a student for another month or so, I’m now starting to think about how to find a job. I’m not going to start panicing about it yet, because it will be nice to have some time off first, but I do need to find something by mid July at the latest. As my flatmates are leaving London when our tenancy contract expires in August, I’ll also have to do the whole looking-for-a-flat thing once again.
