Blogging for work
Despite having worked at the Science Museum as a Web Developer for over a year now, I've not blogged much yet about the things I've been directly working on (with a couple of exceptions). This is partly down to the fact that the most time consuming project I'm working on hasn't yet made it to launch yet (a redesign and restructure of the main site).
Over the last couple of weeks though, at the suggestion of my boss, I've started writing for a group blog about the new media developer work that we do at the Science Museum. It's over at sciencemuseumdev.org.uk (not a particularly snappy name, but there we go).
So far, I've written posts on the recent history of the Science Museum website, the work I did on the relaunch of the Dana Centre website, and a piece I wrote today on RSS and iCal feeds. I'll be writing some more over the coming months, hopefully. I'm keen that we try to document the redesign process as much as possible, but there's much that we'd probably want to keep under our belt until the site is actually launched.
