A few weeks ago we got a letter through the post from TfL informing us that for several days there would be major roadworks on the road in front of our flat, taking place at nighttime. We weren’t too bothered by the news, as we don’t drive along the road, and our flat is at the back of the block, away from the road, rather than at the front.
Half an hour ago, however, the roadworks started, and whilst they aren’t very load (a low bass rumbling), the flat is vibrating annoyingly. It shakes fairly often – whenever a heavy lorry trundles along the road in front, but this constant vibrating is going to really grate if it continues all night…
